Coaching Disclaimer

4.1 Nature of Coaching

Coaching provided by Timothy Tan and Crystal Clear Coaching Solutions is intended to support reflection, clarity, goal-setting, personal development, reinvention and intentional action.

Coaching is a collaborative process.

The coach may provide questions, perspectives, frameworks, observations, exercises and accountability, but the client remains responsible for their own choices and actions.

4.2 Coaching Is Not Therapy

Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment or medical treatment.

Timothy Tan does not represent coaching services as a substitute for appropriately qualified healthcare or mental-health professionals.

If you require medical, psychological or mental-health support, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional.

4.3 No Financial, Investment, Tax or Legal Advice

Coaching discussions may touch upon work, business, retirement, money, legacy or future planning.

Such discussions are for coaching and educational purposes and should not be interpreted as personalised:

• financial advice;
• investment advice;
• tax advice;
• accounting advice; or
• legal advice.

You should obtain independent professional advice where appropriate before making decisions requiring regulated or specialist expertise.

4.4 Client Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• your own decisions;
• determining whether suggestions are appropriate for your circumstances;
• actions you take or do not take;
• obtaining professional advice where necessary; and
• the consequences of your personal and business decisions.

Coaching can provide perspective and accountability. It does not transfer responsibility for your life or decisions to the coach.

4.5 No Guaranteed Outcomes

We believe coaching can be a valuable catalyst for reflection and change, but no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Testimonials and examples represent individual experiences and should not be interpreted as promises of future performance or results.

4.6 Confidentiality

We treat one-to-one coaching discussions with discretion and respect.

Information disclosed during coaching will not ordinarily be shared with third parties except:

• with your consent;
• where reasonably necessary to provide an agreed service;
• where required by law;
• where disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights; or
• in circumstances involving serious safety concerns where disclosure is legally required or otherwise justified.

Where third-party platforms are used to deliver coaching, their own privacy and security practices may also apply.

4.7 Recording of Coaching Sessions

A coaching session will not be recorded by Crystal Clear Coaching Solutions unless the client has been informed that recording will occur.

Where recording is part of an agreed programme feature, the intended use of the recording will be communicated.

Private coaching recordings will not be used publicly for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

4.8 Workshops, Webinars and Events

Group workshops, webinars and live events may be recorded.

Where recording is intended, reasonable notice will be provided.

Attendance at an event does not, by itself, give Crystal Clear Coaching Solutions an unrestricted right to commercially exploit a participant's name, image, testimonial or likeness.

Where identifiable participant content is intended for promotional or commercial use, appropriate permission will be sought where required.

4.9 Testimonials

If you voluntarily provide a testimonial, we may ask for permission to publish it.

Where appropriate, we will clarify how your name, photograph, business name or other identifying information may be used.

We will not knowingly materially alter a testimonial in a way that misrepresents what the participant communicated.

4.10 Relationship Between Coach and Client

Participation in coaching does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary relationship or professional adviser-client relationship outside the scope of the coaching services agreed.

4.11 Acceptance

By purchasing or participating in coaching services, you acknowledge the nature and limitations of coaching described above, together with any specific coaching agreement provided for the programme you purchase.
